Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival Francisco de Orellana – Coca

Your journey starts with a 25-minute flight from Quito to Coca where 0ur staff will pick you up and transfer to the port along banks of Napo River. There, your bilingual guide will explain about safety before embarking for a 2 hours’ boat trip on the greeters Ecuadorian affluent of the Amazon, the Napo River. During the journey you get a taste of the amazing Amazon rain forest.

At the lodge the staff will welcome you with refreshing cold drinks before you start your adventure exploring the most biodiversity green jungle of the planet called Amazon Rainforest.

Late afternoon, you will have a short walk on the nearby trails or a canoe ride surrounding  with  wild life in its natural way, many opportunities to observe colorfully birds and a close encounter with the amazing second largest trees of the world such as the kapok trees, also mahogany, cedars and many other plant who are attaches to the culture for many uses in medicine, food, fibber and wood to build up houses and handicrafts. Afterwar a nice walk we Return to the lodge, where our chef will offer a wide variety of national and international cuisine fusion with local techniques and local organic ingredients that caters vegetarians and vegans.

Your guide will give a briefing and details about next day activities at the Amazon Rainforest while you enjoy drinks and cocktails.

 

Day 2

Discover wildlife in its natural state

After breakfast, experience the wildlife on the tree tops from a tower. To get there your tour leaders will take you for 20 minutes by canoe ride, followed by a short 20-minute walk Over a great view of the green Jungle, time to enjoy the wonderful sounds of the wild life, wail including colorful birds such as parrots, toucans, monkeys.

The tower gives you an amazing perspective, opening up a whole new world of Amazon biodiversity that is often difficult and almost impossible to see from the understory. The journey continues exploring the nearby trails searching for more Amazonian creatures walking through Trails that have 3 hours of duration in the Yasuni Natinal Park. the most biodiverse tropical rainforest of the planet.

You will back about 2 to 3 afternoons to the lodge to have rest a get ready for dinner.

 

Day 3

Clay Leak Visit and Kichwa Community.

After breakfast you will go to visit the parrots’ wall at Yasuní National Park for a wonderful view of hundreds of parrots searching for a gap to land and eat the earth in a process for their digestion. Here you will see Mealy Amazon, Yellow-crowned, Orange-winged and Blue-headed parrots. Afterwards we back to a Community Center. Here you can learn how the community lives in harmony with the Amazon Rainforest. You will learn about their customs, drinks, food, and Kichwa culture, learn how local life is environmentally sustainable. You will know their conservation and entrepreneurship projects, (WASI WARMI) along with an activity of handicrafts.

Appetizer will be in the community and you will taste the traditional food of the kichwa tribe, then get ready to play with the blowgun, an ancient Kichwa weapon to hunt. 

In the afternoon you’ll EXPLORE in Napo River, from the Community until the islands to observe afternoon wild life activity and best sunset over the amazon.

After dinner will be optional for guest to take a night walk to see insects, spiders, snakes and frogs.

 

 Day 4

Lake Visit.

After early breakfast, our trip experience star with 20 minutes ride on canoe then from the port we will walk for about 1 hour through the terra-firmed to get the MANDY LAKE. Once there we going to take a paddle canoe to explorer around the area which its home of Over 565 species of birds have been registered so far, including colorful birds and with a bit of luck a close view of howler, squirrel monkeys or sloths resting on the canopy. This will be all day out there exploring one of the most pristine places in the indigenous territory with an opportunity to see big jungle mammals.  will we have box lunch in the camp site afterwards we get back late to our cabins located on the Napo river.

 

Day 5

Return to the Napo River – Coca

After breakfast head back to the Coca to on time to get your flight back to Quito.

  • Transportation from Coca to the lodge back and forth to the places to perform the activities.

What to wear
